How to change pin codes on a Bosch Solution alarm system

We will start off with the the Bosch 3000 system. If you have a Bosch/Solution panel, most of them will look like this, the number pad will have a “Stay” button on the bottom left and an “away” button on the bottom right. 

CHANGING MASTER PIN CODE

1 › Type in your master code, then press “1” and “AWAY”.

2 › Press “1” and “away again.

3 › Enter in your new code, then press “AWAY”.

4 › If you hear a long beep, that means there is an error. In this case it is because I used a pin code that is already in the system.

5 › If you hear a double beep, it means that this system has accepted the new pin and you will be able to use it to arm/disarm the system.

Adding a Second Pin Code

1 › Type in your master code, then press “1” and “AWAY”.

2 › Press “2” and “AWAY”.

3 › Enter in your new second pin code, then press “AWAY”.

4 › Now you have a second pin you can use to arm/disarm the system.

5 › If you hear a double beep, it means that this system has accepted the new pin and you will be able to use it to arm/disarm the system.

Changing Master Pin Code on a Solution 6000

Moving on to a Solution 6000 panel, which will follow the same procedure as a 64 or 144, in short any that have the same keypad as this one. You will see there is see there is extra buttons down the right side, “ON”, “OFF” and “OK”.

1 › Type in your master code and press “OK”, then press “MENU”.

2 › Using the arrow keys, select “Access” then “PIN Codes”.

3 › Select “Change own PIN”.

4 › Type in new pin, then press “OK”.

5 › Type in pin again, then press “OK” to confirm it.

6 › To exit the menu, keep pressing “MENU” until it gives you have “Exit” selected, then press “OK”

7 › You will see when you go into the pin code menu (step 1 -2 above), you will be able to set up new pins, delete pins change other pin codes.
