How Footage Is Stored

Most residential systems we install store footage locally on a hard drive inside the NVR. Storage is typically sized for 14 to 30 days of continuous recording before older footage is overwritten. If you want to keep specific clips, you can download them directly from the app.

We can also discuss cloud backup options if local storage alone does not feel like enough.

The most useful camera positions for a home are:

• Front door and main entry
• Driveway and garage
• Back door and rear yard
• Side gates and access paths
• Any external area not visible from the street

We avoid positions that capture neighbouring properties or public footpaths beyond what is incidental. Australian privacy guidelines apply and we follow them.
