How a fever camera works
A fever camera is a video camera set up to screen people for elevated skin temperature as they enter a building or pass a checkpoint. Instead of only recording footage, it takes a temperature reading and highlights anyone who reads above a set threshold, so staff can direct that person for a secondary check. Because the camera works automatically, it can screen a steady flow of people without stopping each one by hand. The same unit can also connect to other equipment on site, so a reading can trigger a response rather than just log an alert. The video above shows our technicians mounting the camera, setting it up and demonstrating how it detects and responds during a live walk-through.
