Think of your alarm system in the same way you think of your car. You keep up to date on your car maintenance to ensure it is reliable when you need it most...
Why we recommend regular maintenance
The best way to ensure the longevity and optimum performance of your security system is regular maintenance.
That is why Access Alarms offers maintenance agreements tailored to your requirements, so you can rely on your system every day of the year.

What do we do during an Alarm System Maintenance?
› Power & Back-up
We will check the power circuits and back-up battery to ensure it is connected to power and that the battery is charging correctly. This is so your system can run off of that battery in the instance that power is disconnected.
› Panel
We will check that your system operates by disconnecting all of the sirens and arming the system in the same way you would. Our technicians may ask you for the pin code to the system to do this.
› Detectors
We will clean each of the detectors, check they are performing well, and adjust if needed.
› Siren/Strobe
We will reconnect your sirens and strobe to ensure they will activate when your system is in alarm.
› Monitoring centre (if applicable)
If your system is monitored, we will verify with the control room that they are receiving all signals.

What do we do during an Camera System Maintenance?
› Power
We will check the power circuits to ensure your camera system is running on power correctly.
› Universal Power Supply (if applicable)
We will check that the UPS is receiving power, and that it can provide back-up power to the system when needed.
› Recorder
We will check that the camera system is connected to the internet, and each device. We will check that you can log in and use the connected software, and that all firmware and software has received any essential updates.
› Hard drive
We will check the hard drive is storing footage, and enough of it. Sometimes we may suggest a hard drive upgrade.
› Cameras
We will clean each camera, check/correct its position, the image quality and adjust motion-recording.
› Monitors (if applicable)
We will check that all cameras are displaying correctly.

What do we do during an Access Control Maintenance?
› Power & Back-up
We will check the power circuits and back-up battery to ensure it is connected to power and that the battery is charging correctly. This is so your system can run off of that battery in the instance that power is disconnected.
› Controller
We will check that your controller is in optimal operation, which includes checking the settings for faults such as DOTL (door open too long), invalid & valid cards/fobs and forced door. We will also carry out any essential firmware and software updates.
› Locks
We will clean and adjust the locks as needed, and ensure they are securing and releasing correctly.
› Card Readers
We will ensure the readers are functioning and connected to the locks and controller. Our technicians may ask to borrow a fob/access card to carry this out.
› Monitoring centre (if applicable)
If your system is monitored, we will verify with the control room that they are receiving all signals.
